Function of a locker is usually to keep things for many people use in storage units. Gym lockers or school lockers may be the type that most of us recognize, with rows of cabinets for each person and a separate key.

Loker merupakan bentuk lemari yang biasa digunakan untuk menyimpan benda-benda yang dibawa ditempat umum seperti gym, sanggar, sekolah, mall, dan sebagainya. Fungsi loker biasanya menyimpan benda dari banyak orang dalam unit-unit penyimpan. Loker gym atau loker sekolah mungkin tipe yang paling kita kenali, dengan deretan kabinet-kabinet untuk masing-masing orang dan kunci yang terpisah.

Tahukah Anda bahwa banyak lemari juga didesain dengan tipe loker? Misalnya lemari produk langsung jadi yang knock down biasanya merupakan tipe lemari yang mirip seperti loker dengan beberapa kabinet terpisah. Lemari loker seperti ini memiliki unit kabinet dengan pintu-pintu terpisah. Tidak banyak desainer yang mendesain loker dengan desain yang menarik, karena keberadaan loker lebih ditekankan pada fungsi daripada estetikanya.


Karena itu loker lebih sesuai ditempatkan di tempat umum seperti gym atau sekolah. Tapi tidak menutup kemungkinan jenis loker kayu atau berlapis kayu bisa ditempatkan untuk meletakkan benda-benda di sekitar garasi atau pintu samping untuk menyimpan benda-benda seperti payung, sepatu, jas hujan, dan sebagainya, karena loker kayu biasanya memiliki unsur keindahan yang lebih baik.
